With each introduction to the laws, God commands the Israelites: “Be holy because I am holy.” Through Jesus' famous parable about the good Samaritan, He proves that God’s laws were not simply just about following the letter of the law, but about our hearts. Jesus doesn’t nullify the law, he fulfills it.
